Episode 113

Jab City (with Jenny Tian)

Rohit’s John Howard era dial-up internet is still on the ropes, so he misses this week’s episode, which is a damn shame because this week we have a very special and very funny guest, Sydney comedian Jenny Tian. Before we get to Jenny, the boys reveal some big news from during the week.

The boys are sick and tired of being in lockdown so they take matters into their own hands this week by getting the jab. Sen gets his hands on some elusive Pfizer while Miguel rolls the dice with some AZ and we are proud to say both him and his 3 arms are doing just fine.

Next up is our interview with Jenny. We delve deep into her psyche and upbringing, exploring her primary school days, university days and corporate career as we finally do some research and preparation for once.

Jenny recounts her rarest moment, the absolute specimens she met on the comedy circuit as well as bonding with the boys over their equally strict and traumatic Asian parenting experiences.

Finally this week, Jenny was a very good sport and agreed to stick around for another segment. “Help Harry,” is a new segment/series where we will be attempting to help our incredibly unlucky (not really) friend in his quest for love.

With Jenny’s help, we embark on this suicide mission that may outlast the podcast itself. We begin with a tale of this young man’s first date which begins so promisingly yet ends so poorly. What will Harry do next?

Also this week: Manus Island, Healthy Harold, WhatsApp hoaxes and oversharing childhood traumas on first dates.

Segments this week:

The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week’s news stories, events and viral trends.

The Reach-Around: To show gratitude and respect to our guest, and like all good hosts should do, the boys get around the guest in the most homoerotic segment in podcasting.

Help Harry: Our friend Harry needs some help with the ladies. In this segment we do our best to try and help him find love.
